Downtown Revitalization

• Supported the creation of a Special Service Area, generating +$300,000 annually for downtown revitalization
• Partnered with the newly formed Rock Island Downtown Alliance to keep Downtown safe and clean
• Secured over $8M in funding to reconstruct the core of downtown Rock Island, including a revisioned Great River Plaza

Asset Management

• Supported replacing the local gas tax with a street maintenance utility fee to secure much-needed funding for road repair
• Deployed the City's $26.5M allocation from the Federal American Rescue Plan to address long-needed fleet replacement and facilities improvement needs
• Secured support for a capital asset management fund to begin saving for known expected repairs at municipal properties. No more band-aids!

Communications

• Hired the City's first Community Engagement Manager
• Participated in regular "Rock Island Unplugged" Town Hall events
• Provided exceptional communication and service for constituents
